FISHING  GRAYTON

The history of fishing the Gulf
waters off of Grayton Beach is
rich with color. Beginning in the
late 1800s, early settlers and
visitors to the area would roll
their wooden boats across the
beach on pine logs and row out
to the inshore reefs to catch
Red Snapper and Grouper.

Today, fishermen fishing local
waters for the first time are
amazed at how close inshore
Grouper and Snapper can
be found.
